Arun Sun
Certified Physician’s Assistant

Arun Sun received a full scholarship to Hollins University and graduated in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology/Pre-med and a minor in computer science.  She was on the Dean’s list for 3 years.  She continued on to further her education at the Jefferson College of Health Sciences where she became a board certified Physician’s Assistant.

Immediately after graduation from Jefferson, Arun started working in the field of Pain Management.  Here, she developed a special interest in intrathecal pump therapy as an alternative treatment for chronic pain replacing the use of oral pain medications.  She also specializes in performing a multitude of minimally invasive procedures such as trigger point injections, peripheral joint injections and peripheral nerve blocks.  She believes in a multimodal approach to treating both acute and chronic pain conditions and has over 15 years of experience in the field of pain management.

Arun is originally from Thailand.  She has been living in Roanoke for the past 20 years and proud to call Roanoke her home.  She is a weekly volunteer at the Rescue Mission Free Clinic where she provides general medical care to the underserved individuals of the Roanoke Valley.  In her free time, Arun enjoys traveling back home to visit her family in Thailand, biking and gardening.
